Following the recent "First Impressions" report that was completed on our town, the BIA searched for a way to assist local businesses to improve the appearance of their building.  Sponsors for this project are the Kingsville BIA, Essex Community Futures Development Corporation and the Town of Kingsville with each group committing $5000.00 to the project.   Qualifying projects would include graffiti removal, façade improvements, exterior beautification and business signage. 

Applications must be made to the BIA to review and approve on a case by case basis with the grant offering a maximum of $500.00 on projects over $1000.00.  Applicants must be members of the BIA with a storefront within the BIA boundaries.  Applications are limited to one grant per member per year.

The BIA is hopeful that as many businesses as possible will take advantage of the offer and in so doing give the downtown a much needed face lift.  Applications are available through the BIA office, and your BIA newsletter.  Interested applicants should phone the BIA office for more information.
